The UH-Hilo women’s soccer team have kept on rolling with three wins last week to move up two spots in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Poll released Tuesday morning.

The Vulcans, now 5-0-1, notched non-conference wins over HPU and Chaminade along with starting PacWest Conference play with a 6-0 victory against Academy of Art. The back-to-back PacWest Conference Champions are one of 16 unbeaten teams in the current top 25.

The No. 6 ranking matches the highest the UH-Hilo Women’s Soccer team has achieved, going back to October of last season.

Ashland University (6-0-1) came in at the top spot for the third consecutive week.

The Vulcans will continue their northern California road trip with a game at noon (3 p.m. PT) today at Dominican (3-4-1 ovr., 0-0-1 PacWest) in San Rafael.

On Saturday, UH-Hilo will travel into central California to play a match against Fresno Pacific (1-7 ovr., 0-1 PacWest), starting at 4:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. PT).

The Vulcans will return next week for a six-game homestead, starting off Saturday (Oct. 7) against HPU.

UH-Hilo will then face — in order — Biola, Westmont, Point Loma, Concordia University Irvine and Azusa Pazific before ending their regular season in November on O‘ahu at Chaminade.
